The Mission

Notes of Hope is an annual benefit concert event that presents upcoming artists with an opportunity to perform and receive mentorship while raising money for FaithSeeders, a nonprofit organization working to help improve the healthcare and education conditions in Jamaica and Liberia.

The History

In 2014, Lelai Givens held the first Notes of Hope benefit concert in a small Pitman, NJ cafe. The proceeds of the concert benefited orphans during the Ebola crisis in Liberia. The crisis resulted in 4,800 recorded deaths in the small West African country. Due to the deadly Ebola outbreak, over 5,000 Liberian children became orphans. The majority of the schools were shut down during this time, causing a hindrance in the education of Liberian students. The money raised through Notes of Hope assisted with the cost of collecting and transporting school supplies, book bags, textbooks, and hygienic supplies for the children through FaithSeeders Ministries.

That year, Notes of Hope proved to be a great platform for upcoming artists and a fun evening for the community. It also served as a great networking event. Many artists connected with videographers or photographers and entrepreneurs with their communities. By popular demand, Notes of Hope was made into an annual event leading to the creation of LoveLee Productions. Because of her work through Notes of Hope, Lelai received the Purple Heart Award for American Business Ownership from The National Society of American Business Owners.

In recent years, Notes of Hope has featured headliners Alyson Stoner, Tiffany Evans, and Cyrus DeShield. Notes of Hope has been featured on the South Jersey News, PHL17, and in other online publications.
